Dr. Glaros was born in Weslaco, Texas and moved to Houston when he was in second grade.
He graduated from Memorial High School, earned a B.A. in Psychology at Southern Methodist University, and earned his degree from Baylor College of Dentistry as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1974.
He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and is the current President of the American Academy of Biological Dentistry. In addition, he is an active member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the Holistic Dental Association, and the Price-Pottinger Foundation.
On a more personal note, he has been married to Joanne since 1970. Together they are the proud parents of three wonderful children.
At his church, he teaches a senior high Sunday School class and is currently participating on a task force exploring contemporary worship. His golf game is slightly better than his guitar playing, but they still let him play bass with the contemporary music praise band.
