Dr. Glaros was born in Weslaco, Texas and moved to Houston when he was in second grade. He graduated from Memorial High School, earned a B.A. in Psychology at Southern Methodist University, and earned his degree from Baylor College of Dentistry as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1974.
He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and is past President of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine. In addition, he is an Accredited Member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the Holistic Dental Association, the Price-Pottinger Foundation, and the American Naturopathic Medical Association.
On a more personal note, he has been married to Joanne since 1970. Yes, this is the same Joanne who has worked in the office over 20 years. Together, they are the proud parents of Amy, Melissa (and her husband Joseph and grandson Micah, age 2), and Patrick (and his wife Jayme and newborn, Vera Lynn Glaros).
He is an elder in his church of 36 years. His golf game is slightly better than his guitar playing, but they still let him play bass with the contemporary music praise band at church. Edited note: After five years of a weekly band practice and practice-and-play on Sundays, golf skills do not compare well to progress with the bass.
To the hobbies/interests of golf, guitar, and gardening, grandfathering must now be added; he proudly says, “at the top of the list”.
